A lot of people I work with aren't falling apart, they're functioning just fine. But there's something that keeps surfacing. It may be a memory, a reaction, a feeling that doesn't match the moment, and no amount of pushing through it makes it stop.

EMDR works differently than just talking about what happened. We work directly with how your brain stored the experience so it stops showing up uninvited. Most people describe it as the memory finally losing its grip.

You might be experiencing:

A belief that you're broken or that what happened was your fault

Emotional reactions that catch you off guard and feel out of proportion

Hypervigilance that never turns off

Memories or images that surface at the worst moments

EMDR is one of the most effective and well-researched treatments for trauma. We build a foundation first, make sure you feel safe in the process, and move at a pace that actually works for you. If you've been carrying something for a long time and you're ready to put it down, I'd love to work with you.
